FingerstyleGuitarLessons-7 Introduces New Chords

FingerstyleGuitarLessons-7 Features Another Of Our Great Free Video Guitar Lessons

This new installment of our free online guitar lessons introduces the C, F and G chord shapes.

The biggest challenge with learning these new chords will be learning to play the F chord shape. What makes this hard for beginners is fretting across the first 2 strings with the first finger.

It will be much easier to learn to do this if you are including this exercise in your daily practice.

The main things to focus on in this lesson are:

  • Try to have equal volume from all of the notes
  • Play off of the left side of your fingertips
  • Be aware of proper right hand and left hand position
  • Grab the full chord, even if you're not playing all of the note's in it
  • You will need a TEF viewer to see the music for this lesson. You can download it free here.

There's a MIDI playback of the tab available. Just click on the loudspeaker icon, then hit play in the new window.
