You Can't Have Too Many Guitar Instruction Books!

If you're like me, you probably have a shelf full of guitar instruction books. A new book is like a treasure hunt. A lot of digging is involved. It may be hot and frustrating work. But if you stick with it, you hit gold. It may be a new lick. Maybe a new scale or set of chords. But all of the time and effort are worth it.

I'm going to preview these books for you. I'll look for their strengths and weaknesses. I'll tell you what skill level is needed to tackle it.

I hope that my reviews of these guitar instruction books will help you in your playing.

Do You Have a Favorite Guitar Instruction Book?

All of those books on my bookshelf. But I know that they're just a drop in the bucket. There must be thousands in print.

Is there a guitar instruction book that's changed your life? One that gave you an "aha" moment. If there is, tell us about it.

For that matter, is there one that gave you nightmares? Let us know about that, too.

So many books, so little time.
