Private lessons allow you to learn in ways that self instruction won't. A teacher is a little like a mountain climbing
guide. He can show you which paths you should follow. He can't do the hiking for you.
We each have to learn how hard to hold down a string. We each have to figure out how to hold the guitar. No one else can
make our fingers move where we want them to go.
What private lessons can do is shorten the learning process for the student. That old saying about re-inventing the wheel also holds true for learning the guitar.
A good guitar instructor is an experienced observer. He/she knows what to look for and can help the student avoid mistakes.
I offer afternoon and evening lessons in the Sunset, La. area
